Kip McAtee
I received my BA from the University of Washington. I continued my studies at the Cornish School of Music in Seattle and the Berkelee College of Music in Boston. I studied guitar with Al Turay in Seattle and piano with John Elliot in Kansas City. I've performed on national TV and National Public Radio for the Kansas City Jazz Festival. I played with the Jack Eglash Orchestra at the Saraha Hotel in Las Vegas. I performed with noted jazz singers Dee Daniels and Deborah Brown. I recently appeared on a 1 hour concert on KHPR the local PBS station. I've performed on over 50 commercials, including Taco Bell, Time Warner Cable, Hawaiian Airlines, and Ward Center. Listen for the current HEMIC and HECO commercials. I've performed on 4 full length feature film sound tracks, including 'Under A Jarvis Moon', which aired on National Public Television 2 years ago, and "Paradise Broken", which premiered at the Hawaii Film Festival three years ago. I have published 8 solo CDs and 3 with bands. I was a member of the Sahara Show Room Big Band and the Relief Band in Las Vegas. I have been a member of one band or another continuously since the 6th grade. |
